Android Kernel Researcher
Description
The Android Kernel Researcher is responsible for discovering, evaluating and exploiting vulnerabilities in the kernel of the Android operating system. Candidates should have experience in auditing kernel sources or fuzzing for vulnerabilities, writing exploits and bypassing modern mitigation. We are looking for senior researchers with multiple years of professional VR experience in relevant areas, however exceptions are considered for outstanding candidates.

Required Skills
- Ability to dissect, understand, analyze and reason about complex software
- Deep understanding of Linux/Android kernel components, system principles, attack surfaces and security systems
- Experience with auditing native code bases and a deep knowledge of the relevant vulnerability types
- Experience in vulnerability finding and exploit development in kernel context
- Basic programming skills (C, python, ARM/AArch64 assembly)
- Familiarity with the Android mobile platform, architecture and operating system design
Preferred Skills
- Demonstrated experience in identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in Linux/Android kernel
- Experience in the engineering of robust, reliable exploits
- Deep understanding of complex kernel subsystems (memory management, networking, file systems, etc.)
- Familiarity with modern access control and exploit mitigation techniques (Selinux, seccomp, CFI, KASLR, slab protections, MTE)
- Fuzzing, instrumenting and dynamic testing kernel components
